Colors are navy, blue, and white, with heavy shelving and a great razor blade graphic. The blade says "Made in England, " although the sign itself is unmarked. Measures 24 1/2" high x 6" wide. The wooden base is just over 1" thick and adds 1/2" to the length, while the hanger adds another 1 1/4.
The porcelain is curved (convex). The thermometer reads both in Fahrenheit and Centigrade, with Art Deco numbers on either side. Day-one gloss throughout the porcelain, and only very minor porcelain flakes at a couple of screw holes and a little patch of crazing at right edge near the top.The liquid in the thermometer's glass tube is blue in color and appears to have a small air space near the top. The hygrometer functions, but I cannot attest to the accuracy of the thermometer or hygrometer. The wooden base has a natural finish and appears to be original to this item, but I have not seen another and cannot be sure. All screws are present and appear original. This is a very rare original piece, very hard to find in any condition. I have seen two others, but neither in this excellent condition. This is the real deal, and it displays beautifully.
