To settle its claim of loss. In 1938 North Star Oil bought Prairie City Oil Co. Ltd along with its Buffalo and Electro brands. It is one of a handful or perhaps one of one in existence with a two section method of manufacturing most likely made in between 1908 and 1915. It measures 58 1/4" wide by 34" tall.

It is mounted on a newer plywood backing with a modern wood material framing. The sign and its total thickness today with the mounting board and frame is 1.

That one appears newer, and albeit it in better condition, it too was a rare offering however my sign may pre-date its manufacture. The sign has a patina to say the least but it is real, historic and authentic.
